this is our second session with Madam Fadhilah. I do not know why but i love this topic probably because i love writing. So, taking lecture notes is writing down all the lecture's notes that our instructors have shown to us and student can read it in our own words. However, every student should taking notes effectively.

WHY TAKING NOTES?
- helps us to pay attention in all the classes
- helps us to study when there are quizzes, tests, exams and etc
- helps us being organize and process all the data and information given
- helps us to improve our memory so that we can remember all the information better
- lecturers can test their students whether they get captured all the information or not
- helps student to has some ownership ideas by their own
HOW TO TAKE EFFECTIVE NOTES?
- has date and label on the top of the notes
- have space between lines to write
- generate your own language by rephrasing or etc
- has outline to show the difference between title and point
- has abbreviation, symbols or acronym
after taking lecturer notes, students MUST review the notes from top to bottom. Notes will be malfunction if they neglect their notes.
THE ADVANTAGE OF REVIEWING THE NOTES:
- this is because we will lose 80% of what we heard within a few hours
- we can figure and identify some questions to ask to our lecturers to help us understand more
- there will be less time to absorb all the information
- human only has 15 minutes to absorb the information
THE ADVANTAGE OF RECAPTURE THE NOTES:
- helps you to write faster and shorthand in class so you will get all the important notes
- save your study hours before tests and exams because you will has less hours to study
- you can digest and paraphrase the words and make it your own
- this is great way for kinesthetic learner!
while taking lecture notes, student also need to be multitasking like hearing and writing at the same time so that they will not lost in class. Plus, student also need to be aggressive like asking questions so that the environment in class will be happier. However, students need to know what they will be studying before the class started.
besides, Madam Fadhilah also taught us about our lecturer's mood. student need to be nice to all lecturer so they will maintain their good mood when lecture you. there are some ways to help lecturer to maintain their mood:
- complete outside assignments and submit to lecturer on time
- bring suitable materials to take notes like pen and books
- be alert to the repetition because it must be an important points
- notice instructors interest leverl
- let go all the judgement about your lecturer so that u can be more focus to study
- watch the board if the lecturer is lecturing because if they write, it must be necessary
if student cannot control their behaviour to maintain their lecturer's mood, they need to avoid with....
- when your attention slipping in classes, pay attention to your act of writing
- ask questions to your lecturer so you will understand more about the topic
- volunteer for demonstration and discussion so that u can improve your confidence level
- sit in front in the classes so you will get harder to sleep and lecturer can see you often
physical factor also important to help student paying attention in all the classes. such as:
1. student near front and centre of the class will has better vision and hearing
2. student need to avoid distraction like doorways and peers so that they will always focus in class
